Brussels : Goodyear has a strong history of working closely with leading car manufacturers to develop tires tailored to specific vehicle models.

This commitment to original equipment (OE) tire development aligns perfectly with Volkswagen’s vision for the Passat Variant, ensuring owners experience high levels of quality, efficiency and comfort.

A range of Goodyear tires have been selected as OE fitments by Volkswagen for the all-new Passat Variant. Goodyear summer, winter and all-season tires will be available in all applicable tire sizes on the new model.

The new Passat will be launched as a versatile estate car, known as the Variant in most markets, in the first quarter of 2024. With more than 34 million units sold worldwide, the Passat is the top-selling Volkswagen of all time after the Golf and ahead of the Beetle. The vehicle will be produced in three new plug-in and mild hybrid drives, and five turbocharged petrol and diesel engine versions.

Goodyear boasts an exceptional lineup of tires that will equip the Passat, including the renowned Vector 4Seasons Gen-3, EfficientGrip Performance 2, UltraGrip Performance 3 and Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 models. This range showcases innovative technology which will help complement the powerful aerodynamic design and the high-efficiency drivetrain that Volkswagen promises with the new Passat Variant.

From Goodyear’s all-season range, the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 has been recognised for its excellent performance in wet conditions, whilst also offering benefits such as improved dry braking and dry handling. The Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 and Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 are both summer tires which are long lasting and offer excellent performance and braking on both wet and dry roads. Goodyear’s UltraGrip Performance 3 is a winter tire, designed to provide excellent traction and handling in snowy and icy conditions, as well as on wet roads.
