GKSD/Gruppo San Donato‘s Historical Success Stories With African Partnerships
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Among the impressive delegations to the WEF Special Meetings on Global Collaboration, Growth and Energy for Development in Riyadh, GKSD Chairman Kamel Ghribi was also among the few private sector invitees.
It was with great enthusiasm that he participated in this important initiative by the World Economic Forum Special Meeting Summit. Throughout his distinguished international career, he recognized that there was not enough high-level global cooperation, and the slowing down of advancements in sustainable and enduring investments in Africa. GKSD’s philosophy has been from the beginning, to actively support projects in energy transition, infrastructure development, affordable healthcare, and inclusive, equitable partnerships within Africa and the MENA Region.
Kamel Ghribi shared his personal insights with luminaries from the IMF, OPEC, the African Union Commission, and the EU as well as Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Diplomats from Africa and the MENA region. Following the World Economic Forum, Ghribi left Riyadh to embark upon an official visit to Kenya to attend top-level dialogue with key Government and business figures at the Heads of State Summit organized by the World Bank IDA. The aim of the visit was to identify the key areas of collaboration between GKSD/GSD and the East African nation of Kenya.
“Kenya is taking the lead in changing the way business is done in Africa,” said Kamel Ghribi. “We are planning to take the GKSD knowledge vault to other African nations during this 2024 tour of the continent promoting more fair partnership initiatives.” GKSD/Gruppo San Donato‘s historical success stories with Africa are also about sharing its expertise in sectors such as Healthcare, Green Energy, Sustainable Engineering, Design, and Construction.
